Eben habe ich gesehen, dass Version 7 als beta auf der Webseite zum Download bereit steht.

Neben der Unterstützung von JDK 7 und Oracle Datenbanken interessieren mich vor allem die folgenden Punkte:

Web Languages

HTML5 editing support
JSON formatter

PHP

Run PHP Files without a Project
Generate PhpDoc
Rename refactoring, Safe Delete Refactoring
PHP 5.3 – Support for aliases

Für mich ist die Netbeans IDE noch immer der Editor meiner Wahl wenn es um PHP Projekte geht. Aktuell bin ich sehr glücklich mit der Einbindung von PHPUnit Tests und dem Symfony Framework in die IDE.

Derzeit entwickle ich unter Ubuntu auf einem i5 mit 16GB RAM. Der Fakt, dass es sich um eine eine in Java geschriebene Applikation handelt, stört mich somit nicht wirklich. Unter OSX auf meinem iMac fehlt es mir etwas an RAM, was die IDE schon träge macht.
